Damage to your vehicle’s glass is a very pesky issue. Whether a flying stone chipped your window on the highway, or random debris found its way to your car door’s window, you’re in for some headaches if you don’t call us now. That’s because auto glass damage continues to spread until it reaches the corners of the surface. The process might be slower or faster paced depending on each case, but it will eventually happen. This effect is known as “spider-webbing”, and it requires our professional services to make sure that you keep driving in safe conditions.

Your vehicle identification number, or VIN for short, is a code unique to your automobile. It also includes the serial number of the maker of the vehicle. As such, it can be used to determine the country of origin, the model of the car, the type of components it uses and so forth.
For example, we use your VIN to determine the exact auto glass part you need. It can be found in these places:
The base of your windshield (driver side)
On the frame near the wiper fluid for your front windshield
The easiest way to tell if you have a rain sensor is to wait and see if your wipers turn on automatically when it starts raining. If you live in a drier area though, just have a look at the bottom of your rearview mirror, and there should be a square shaped camera pointing outwards.
If you notice another sensor as well around that area, that’s most likely a light sensor, which should be directly on the back of the rearview mirror.
Simply put, this is a type of sensor that automatically turns your headlights on and off. It is mounted on your windshield or on the back of your rear view mirror. However, the best way to tell if you have one is just to drive while it’s getting dark, and see if your headlights turn on automatically.
The sensor detects the changes in ambient light which you might not be paying that much attention to, since you are gradually getting used to them.
A heads-up display removes the need for you to take your eyes off the road, by having your dashboard on the windshield.
Basically, the HUD is projected on your windshield, and since it is transparent, it allows you to see the road clearly, without having to look down in order to check your speed.
An infrared-reflective windshield filters out the infrared waves of sunlight. No, not all of it, but up to 50% is reflected back in the atmosphere. This helps keep your car stay cooler, saving you money on gas in the long run.
The easiest way to tell if you have an IR windshield is by looking for a purplish haze on it. Another good indication is if your car is noticeably cooler than others on the inside.
Night vision systems are a modern technology in vehicles, so checking your manual should be the first step here. The system works through the use of a sensor which can “see” farther than you can at night, even with the aid of your headlights.
This sensor can differentiate if a certain object is static, moving, or even alive, and warn you ahead of time if danger is imminent. This can be extremely helpful in many cases, as you can’t always be sure that the road ahead is clear at night.
A windshield shade band is a straight-up improvement to your sun visor. It’s basically a blue-ish strip at the top of your windshield, which helps filter out sunlight that can make your driving experiences unpleasant.
If you aren’t regularly adjusting your seating position or playing around with your sun visor, that’s a good indication you might have a vinyl windshield visor that’s helping keep the sun out of your eyes.
The function of a heated windshield is to melt ice or snow during the winter season. If you spot any thin, curvy wires across the windshield, especially near the base of the wipers, then your windshield is heated. This is the same for your rear windshield.
Another very simple way to figure out if you have a car windshield heater is to check your dashboard for a button which would correspond to a front or rear windshield heater.

Just had my windshield replaced on my Jeep and had a very positive experience with Prolite. I was referred to them from a friend and read their reviews before I called (I'm one of those people) and liked what I saw. Jessica helped me open my claim with Progressive and had me scheduled for install within 36 hours. Anthony, tech, called me 30 min before their scheduled window and told me they were on the way. Anthony and Nicole were very professional and polite. I could tell Anthony did quality work by the way he explained some bubbling on the rubber below the broken windshield and how would make it look better. Install only took about 30 min and best of all, they came to my work and did it. Very pleased and will recommend Prolite to friends and family. Also, got paid $150 on the spot!

I have used many auto glass companies over the years. Prolite has been the best experience by far. I spoke in detail with the installer. he mentioned how the company doesn't overload the installers schedule so they have time to do each job right, and not be rushed so they can complete the days scheduled jobs. They showed up on time and called 20 minutes before arriving. They also come to you an work with you on your schedule.I had to replace two vehicles windshields, out in Maricopa earoly morning on a Saturday. They completed both with high quality windshields, and in less time then I expected. When they finished, they took pictures of both jobs after being completed, which shows the owners really care about the quality of the work their installers do, and about their customers being happy. They worked with my insurance company to make arranging the service as easy as it can be for the customer. I will use this company every time I have a need, and refer my friends and family when they are in need. Great service, great work, and very professional nice people. With a lifetime warranty for any leaks or problems. Very glad I found this company. The last company I used rushed the job, left bubbles in the tint strip and the installer was rude. The is the second glass claim I have had in the last year. Prolite Auto Glass by far performed way better then the last company I used.
