Damage to your vehicle’s glass is a very pesky issue. Whether a flying stone chipped your window on the highway, or random debris found its way to your car door’s window, you’re in for some headaches if you don’t call us now. That’s because auto glass damage continues to spread until it reaches the corners of the surface. The process might be slower or faster paced depending on each case, but it will eventually happen. This effect is known as “spider-webbing”, and it requires our professional services to make sure that you keep driving in safe conditions.

Your vehicle identification number, or VIN for short, is a code unique to your automobile. It also includes the serial number of the maker of the vehicle. As such, it can be used to determine the country of origin, the model of the car, the type of components it uses and so forth.
For example, we use your VIN to determine the exact auto glass part you need. It can be found in these places:
The base of your windshield (driver side)
On the frame near the wiper fluid for your front windshield
The easiest way to tell if you have a rain sensor is to wait and see if your wipers turn on automatically when it starts raining. If you live in a drier area though, just have a look at the bottom of your rearview mirror, and there should be a square shaped camera pointing outwards.
If you notice another sensor as well around that area, that’s most likely a light sensor, which should be directly on the back of the rearview mirror.
Simply put, this is a type of sensor that automatically turns your headlights on and off. It is mounted on your windshield or on the back of your rear view mirror. However, the best way to tell if you have one is just to drive while it’s getting dark, and see if your headlights turn on automatically.
The sensor detects the changes in ambient light which you might not be paying that much attention to, since you are gradually getting used to them.
A heads-up display removes the need for you to take your eyes off the road, by having your dashboard on the windshield.
Basically, the HUD is projected on your windshield, and since it is transparent, it allows you to see the road clearly, without having to look down in order to check your speed.
An infrared-reflective windshield filters out the infrared waves of sunlight. No, not all of it, but up to 50% is reflected back in the atmosphere. This helps keep your car stay cooler, saving you money on gas in the long run.
The easiest way to tell if you have an IR windshield is by looking for a purplish haze on it. Another good indication is if your car is noticeably cooler than others on the inside.
Night vision systems are a modern technology in vehicles, so checking your manual should be the first step here. The system works through the use of a sensor which can “see” farther than you can at night, even with the aid of your headlights.
This sensor can differentiate if a certain object is static, moving, or even alive, and warn you ahead of time if danger is imminent. This can be extremely helpful in many cases, as you can’t always be sure that the road ahead is clear at night.
A windshield shade band is a straight-up improvement to your sun visor. It’s basically a blue-ish strip at the top of your windshield, which helps filter out sunlight that can make your driving experiences unpleasant.
If you aren’t regularly adjusting your seating position or playing around with your sun visor, that’s a good indication you might have a vinyl windshield visor that’s helping keep the sun out of your eyes.
The function of a heated windshield is to melt ice or snow during the winter season. If you spot any thin, curvy wires across the windshield, especially near the base of the wipers, then your windshield is heated. This is the same for your rear windshield.
Another very simple way to figure out if you have a car windshield heater is to check your dashboard for a button which would correspond to a front or rear windshield heater.

I have AAA, and these guys gave me $130 for doing my windshield. They were also very helpful in guiding me through the process of setting up the claim through AAA. I recently had a large crack in my windshield and unfortunately my deductible for a full replacement was $500. However, Prolite was able to give me cash back and my total cost was only $350. I was thrilled to pay less than my deductible, especially because other glass companies gave me much higher quotes.At such a low cost, I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of service. Prolite traveled 25 minutes to my apartment in order to do the replacement, and my windshield is now back to perfect condition. I have had no issues with it since the replacement, but it is comforting knowing that there is a lifetime warranty. Furthermore, each employee I spoke with was extremely kind and professional. I will definitely be using Prolite for future windshield cracks.

I don't think its possible to have a better experience with an auto repair business than what I had with ProLite. I found them through Yelp when a rock put a giant crack in my windshield. I reached out to several auto glass repair shops, and ProLite was the first to respond. Nick then called me the next day to help me set everything up with my insurance and made the appointment for the next day. Due to some unforeseen circumstances I ended up having to reschedule to the following week, and again Nick called to confirm everything with me and ensure it all worked with my schedule.When I arrived to Prolite I had my 3 year old and 10 month old in tow - not the best circumstances for getting work done to your car. But Nick met me in the parking lot, HELPED ME CARRY MY STROLLER UP THE STAIRS for us to relax in their lobby, and even offered the lobby television up to us to help entertain the kiddos.It look a total of 90 minutes, 30 minutes less than what he quoted me, and the other guy who was working on my car once again HELPED ME CARRY MY CHILD AND STROLLER DOWN THE STAIRS. He waited patiently while I buckled the kids back into the car, all the while commiserating with me about his own kiddos. The entire experience was honestly just lovely. I never thought I'd use that word to describe a windshield repair, but it was.I had absolutely no stress through the entire experience and couldn't recommend them higher. Everything went quickly and smoothly with my windshield replacement. I sent a request online, and I got a response in an hour. I was able to get a next day appointment which was helpful given the large crack that was developing. I sat through a quick phone call with my insurance company, and that was it.Two men came to my house the next day well within the time quoted. They got the windshield in, and all I had to do was sign off that I received my rebate check. It's not too often someone pays you to repair your car.I'd recommend them for sure!

I don't even know where to start! This company is amazing and have constantly exceeded my expectations. This is my second time going to Prolite and who wouldn't when you get great service and a generous rebate. Last week my glass was shattered by a rock on the freeway and they even cleaned the glass pieces that went into my car from the impact.
