Damage to your vehicle’s glass is a very pesky issue. Whether a flying stone chipped your window on the highway, or random debris found its way to your car door’s window, you’re in for some headaches if you don’t call us now. That’s because auto glass damage continues to spread until it reaches the corners of the surface. The process might be slower or faster paced depending on each case, but it will eventually happen. This effect is known as “spider-webbing”, and it requires our professional services to make sure that you keep driving in safe conditions.

Your vehicle identification number, or VIN for short, is a code unique to your automobile. It also includes the serial number of the maker of the vehicle. As such, it can be used to determine the country of origin, the model of the car, the type of components it uses and so forth.

The base of your windshield (driver side)
On the frame near the wiper fluid for your front windshield
The easiest way to tell if you have a rain sensor is to wait and see if your wipers turn on automatically when it starts raining. If you live in a drier area though, just have a look at the bottom of your rearview mirror, and there should be a square shaped camera pointing outwards.
If you notice another sensor as well around that area, that’s most likely a light sensor, which should be directly on the back of the rearview mirror.
Simply put, this is a type of sensor that automatically turns your headlights on and off. It is mounted on your windshield or on the back of your rear view mirror. However, the best way to tell if you have one is just to drive while it’s getting dark, and see if your headlights turn on automatically.
The sensor detects the changes in ambient light which you might not be paying that much attention to, since you are gradually getting used to them.
A heads-up display removes the need for you to take your eyes off the road, by having your dashboard on the windshield.
Basically, the HUD is projected on your windshield, and since it is transparent, it allows you to see the road clearly, without having to look down in order to check your speed.
An infrared-reflective windshield filters out the infrared waves of sunlight. No, not all of it, but up to 50% is reflected back in the atmosphere. This helps keep your car stay cooler, saving you money on gas in the long run.
The easiest way to tell if you have an IR windshield is by looking for a purplish haze on it. Another good indication is if your car is noticeably cooler than others on the inside.
Night vision systems are a modern technology in vehicles, so checking your manual should be the first step here. The system works through the use of a sensor which can “see” farther than you can at night, even with the aid of your headlights.
This sensor can differentiate if a certain object is static, moving, or even alive, and warn you ahead of time if danger is imminent. This can be extremely helpful in many cases, as you can’t always be sure that the road ahead is clear at night.
A windshield shade band is a straight-up improvement to your sun visor. It’s basically a blue-ish strip at the top of your windshield, which helps filter out sunlight that can make your driving experiences unpleasant.
If you aren’t regularly adjusting your seating position or playing around with your sun visor, that’s a good indication you might have a vinyl windshield visor that’s helping keep the sun out of your eyes.
The function of a heated windshield is to melt ice or snow during the winter season. If you spot any thin, curvy wires across the windshield, especially near the base of the wipers, then your windshield is heated. This is the same for your rear windshield.
Another very simple way to figure out if you have a car windshield heater is to check your dashboard for a button which would correspond to a front or rear windshield heater.

I have gotten my windshield replaced with Prolite exclusively for the last 4 years or so, and they always do a fantastic job. I have to be honest, I was not the easiest customer to have. I had a total of three different scheduled appointments to get my windshield replaced due to family emergencies that came up. However, every interaction with the service gentleman as well as the representatives were fantastic. These wonderful people were caring, professional, timely, and friendly. The representatives were incredibly patient with me with all my rescheduling. I don't even know where to start! This company is amazing and have constantly exceeded my expectations. This is my second time going to Prolite and who wouldn't when you get great service and a generous rebate. Last week my glass was shattered by a rock on the freeway and they even cleaned the glass pieces that went into my car from the impact. My windshield needed replaced and I had contacted a few companies and pro lite made the process easy and fast. They were at my house the next day, it only took 30 min to replace my windshield and once they were finished they handed me a check. I guess that if you have full glass coverage with a zero deductible then some companies offer incentives. This was the only company who paid at time of service where other companies expect you to wait 2 weeks. The only thing that I would change is that they pay in cash instead of check because to cash it costs $8. But they were great

I spoke to Leticia when I called in and she was absolutely wonderful to speak with. She was professional, friendly and made the process incredibly easy with my insurance company. The glass company I used prior was not proficient with the necessary extra parts my vehicle needed with the window replacement, which resulted in a bust job. Prolite knew the specs of my vehicle without me having to tell them and made sure they had the parts in stock before they even made my appointment. This was the third time using this company and it has been great each time. They work with American Family Insurance and make it easy to do. They call them for you while on the phone, you answer a few questions and that is it. Once the call ends, American Family sends a link to download an app so you can upload photos of the damaged windshield. Once completed, Prolite calls you back to setup an appointment. It takes about 30 mins to complete the installation. Luckily for me I did qualify for a cash rebate of $120. Would recommend and use again on my next replacement.

I drive a lot on the highways here in Arizona, as many will know that means a ton of cracked or chipped windshields. I found ProLite years ago and they have done several replacements and fixes on my cars. I had heard of another place being advertised all over the radio and dinner with the replacement, let me say biggest mistake of my life to try someone else. ProLite not only fixed the other companies screw up, but they fixed my other cars windshield. I know they give rebates, that isn't the reason I go to ProLite. They are fast, friendly and do the job right. If you need a replacement on repair trust ProLite to do it right. They are my go to company, learned my lesson once and won't try anyone else
